Won Ton Ton

Mon, 06/07/2009 - 10:55 — Frederik Temmermans

In the beginning, there was ...

Won Ton Ton was the first iBrussels Mobile Application, and consists of a Web Platform and a Java Runtime Engine, which provide Location Based Services.

Based on social media principles, the web platform allows you to 'bookmark' your favourite people, places and events, which you can then synchronize to your mobile phone.

Won Ton Ton was developed by iCity VZW's spin-off CityLive, who applied their 4 year experience in a Living Lab research program in Hasselt, Belgium, to create a cross-platform widget engine.

How does it work?

By localising yourself at one of your bookmarked places, you can position yourself & check out where your contacts are at. A small tour of the application can be found at the Won Ton Ton  website.

The application runs on all Java Enabled phones with an internet connection.
